    About three years ago, a student brought in a jar of Kraft butterscotch ice cream topping…with a “discard” date of 1982. On a dare, I ate a spoonful.
    Indistinguishable from the jar opened only last week. Okay, maybe a little chewier….

    I’m sure the same applies to mayo….
