This morning, the driver from Minnesota Valley Action Council bringing the day’s Food Hub delivery reported that “this is the last of the carrots in storage from last summer. We’re down to eggs, onions, potatoes…and a couple other root crops.” Yep, it’s winter in Minnesota.
But don’t despair! He ALSO reported that it won’t be long before greenhouse-grown lettuce will be available!
What? You didn’t know that Gustavus is a proud founding supprter and customer of the area’s first and only non-profit local food distributor??? Yes. Yes, we are.
