Joe, from the Minnesota Valley Action Council Food Hub delivered today. In food land, it’s still the end of the winter; his truck contained just eggs and onions. But Joe reports that “next week, or maybe the week after,” there will be greens. Wait for it!
Meanwhile, gardener Adam Ellefson reports that he’s seen some small, early, grey morels on his farm. And the Dryad’s Saddle mushrooms are cropping out in abundance on every rotting stump. (NOTE: do not eat stuff if you don’t know what it is. Just sayin’. Wait for the salad greens.)
