Gusties’ consumption of bottled beverages declined in 2008-09 over the prior year by about 10%. Yea Gusties!
That being said, per student/faculty/staff consumption still averaged 149 bottles – yikes – that seems like way too much, doesn’t it? Next time we reach for a bottled beverage, might we consider a fountain alternative in a paper cup? Better yet, fountain alternative in a re-usable beverage container?
On the other hand, maybe we should keep on disposing so our environmental artists have something to do….not.
